Damian’s entire career has been dedicated to defending those accused of or charged with criminal offences. He now has over 25 years experience in Criminal Defence work covering a wide range of criminal offences. 2018 – Operation Cartoon – Large scale £65 million heroin importation, from turkey. Media report.
2018 – Operation Dominator – Conspiracy to commit armed Robbery – sophisticated operation, using custom made Wham ram to break into cash-in-transit security vans– police say unique M.O, –netted over £250,000;
2017 – Operation Troop –Murder – gangland disputes in Moss Side. Victim was an alleged member of Rusholme Cripps –affiliate was Salman Abedi, the Manchester Arena suicide bomber. Media report.
R v R and others (2017) – Conspiracy to produce and supply cannabis, suggested £800,000 worth, running the operation in Greater Manchester from HMP Magilligan, County Derry, Ireland.
2015 – Operation Galion (VHCC) – multi-handed conspiracy to defraud involving a terrabyte of evidence in a joint trading standards and police operation.
R v P – a Defendant charged with attempted murder involving complex issues regarding the defendants fitness to plead.
R v T – represented Defendants charged with a series of robberies, including offences where guns and ammunition were stolen. The suspects masqueraded as police officers & gained around £100,000 worth of goods. This was a complex case involving mobile telephone analysis and attribution.
Having asked several members of the legal profession for a recommendation the name that came forward each time was that of Damian Wall. His preparation throughout was meticulous and he left no stone unturned and his tactical nous caught the prosecution off guard. Damian’s perseverance and his approach to the trial strategy along with that of my counsel Brendan Kelly QC was superb and at the verdict Damian’s reaction said it all, he cared.
