Lawyer receives dressing down in chinese court

It is reported that a Chinese lawyer, Wu Liangshu, alleges that he was assaulted in a courtroom by three court policemen in the presence of two judges and one other official on Friday after his request to file a case in a district court in Nanning, Guangxi, was rejected.

The row apparently broke out after Wu was asked to provide his mobile phone, which he refused. It is understood that he was offered replacement trousers but declined the offer choosing to to leave the court building semi dressed.

Wu was photographed leaving the court with his shirt and half of his trousers away revealing his chest and underpants.

1000 lawyers have apparently signed a statement condeming the attack.
