Justine Allen
Chartered Legal Executive
Justine is a Chartered Legal Executive and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, with over 15 years’ qualification and more than 25 years’ experience within the criminal justice system. Throughout her career, she has worked predominantly with criminal defence solicitors, bringing extensive expertise and insight to the Crown Court team at Burton Copeland.
She has comprehensive experience across all stages of criminal defence, from the initial investigation phase—advising suspects in police interviews as an Accredited Police Station Representative—through to case preparation in the Magistrates’ Court and trial preparation in the Crown Court.
Justine has worked on a broad spectrum of criminal matters and now specialises in serious general crime. She regularly prepares complex cases involving conspiracies, including large-scale drug supply and trafficking, as well as murder, serious violence, organised crime group activity, and serious sexual offences.
She also has significant experience supporting vulnerable defendants, particularly those with complex psychiatric and psychological conditions, ensuring they are properly represented throughout proceedings.
Well regarded within the criminal justice sector, Justine has built strong professional relationships with leading barristers across Manchester and beyond, as well as with medical and forensic experts. Known for her meticulous approach and attention to detail, she is committed to leaving no stone unturned in pursuit of the best possible outcome for her clients.
