Deborah Jackson
Practice Director
Deborah started her working life as a Legal Cashier in a commercial law firm in the heart of Manchester, which is where her love of finance began!
Having taken a gap year where she travelled to places such as Australia, South Africa and India she then came back to England to study Accountancy but always chose to stay in house within the legal profession.
Deborah has been Practice Managing Law Firms for over 26 years guiding them from Sole Practitioners to Limited Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships and helped one firm to become one of the first ABS practices nationwide. She also helps obtain accreditations in Investors in People and Lexcel.
She joined Burton Copeland in April 2015 as the new Practice Manager, becoming the Practice Director when the firms’ legal entity became an Alternative Business Structure in 2023.
She was honoured to be the very first ‘Business Support Champion’ awarded by Manchester Law Society in 2021, an award which honours individuals of the legal profession whose contribution has gone above and beyond to help keep their practice running during the unprecedented times of the pandemic.
